Century Cladding Ltd were asked by St Catherines Hospice to remove the current glazing and clad over the existing roof of the Preston charity superstore, who raise funds for local people living with life-shortening conditions. The new industrial roofing improved the overall working conditions for the volunteers, ensuring that the new roof was waterproof and insulated against outdoor noise and temperatures.
The Challenge
Due to the busy customer base of the store and strict health and safety procedures, we had to complete the project out of hours to cause minimum disruption and ensure that everyone in close proximity to the Preston store was safe. We erected safety debris netting and began to install new purlins and clad over the existing asbestos roof.
The Solution
With careful planning and good communication, we are proud to have completed the project to the highest standard whilst business ran as usual for the charity store, much to the satisfaction of our customer.
